Networking for English Speakers

in Israel

Come for a coffee, leave with a new opportunity

Mission

Networking for English Speakers in Israel is at the heart of our mission: to cultivate a vibrant community where English speaking business owners, entrepreneurs, and professionals across Israel can build meaningful connections, exchange resources, share opportunities, and strengthen each other’s success  one conversation and one connection at a time.

Cafe V’Ma’afeh, founded by David Levine of I Am Your Virtual Professional, was created to champion this vision by bringing English speaking professionals together in a warm, supportive, business-focused environment designed for authentic relationships, shared growth, and meaningful collaboration.

To support that experience and ensure everyone has space to stand out and connect, each business category is limited to one business.

Who is Cafe V’Ma’afeh for and what can you expect?

9:45 – 10:15 Spotlight / Discussion Segment

For the first few meetups, we’ll keep things simple and focus on conversations, business topics, and getting to know one another. As the community takes shape, we’ll begin introducing presentations.

Anyone who attends the first three meetings is welcome to volunteer to present.
After that, once someone has joined us at least three times, they can sign up to be added to the presentation schedule.

The goal is to give everyone a chance to share a 10–15 minute presentation, spotlight their expertise, and help the community grow together.

Business Topic Discussion

A business related topic  is presented and everyone is invited to share insights, strategies, or experiences to create:

  • Meaningful conversation
  • Idea sharing
  • Practical takeaways
  • Stronger relationships

Member Spotlight Presentation

One participant gives a short presentation about:

  • What they do
  • Who they serve
  • What makes their work unique
  • How the group can support them

6 Tips for Preparing an Elevator Pitch

  1. Know your core message
what is the one thing you want someone to remember about you or your business.
  2. Start with a strong hook
Lead with something that sparks curiosity: a problem you solve, a bold statement, or a compelling benefit.
  3. Focus on outcomes, not job titles
Instead of “I’m a consultant,” use “I help business owners grow through…” People remember impact, not labels.
  4.  Include a simple, specific example
A quick example helps make your pitch concrete and relatable:
“Last month I helped a real estate team triple their lead flow…”
  5. Practice out loud
Saying it in your head isn’t enough. Practice speaking it with confidence, natural pacing, and a warm tone, record yourself and watch.
  6. Smile, keep open posture, and maintain eye contact.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Do I need to RSVP?

RSVP is preferred so we can plan for enough pastries, but you’re always welcome to join us — even last-minute.

Our meetings are designed for business owners, decision-makers, and anyone who wants to grow their network while helping others grow theirs.

The only cost is the price of a cup of coffee and a pastry — the connections and experience are priceless.

Aside from your elevator pitch, presenting is not required. However, it’s highly encouraged,  it helps people get to know you, and it’s a powerful way to grow your business.

Sign-in and informal networking begin at 8:50 AM. We aim to wrap up by 10:15 AM so you can continue your day feeling energized and productive.
